Senior Pharmacist- Medication Safety. Full Time, 12 months.

Are you a pharmacist with an interest in medication safety, clinical governance, quality improvement and leading change?

Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) Pharmacy is looking for its next Medication Safety Pharmacist to take on a key leadership role within our Pharmacy service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist wanting to develop or consolidate expertise in medication safety, governance and quality use of medicines, while working closely with senior clinicians, Pharmacy leadership, Safety and Quality teams and multidisciplinary teams across the hospital.

The position provides oversight and leadership of medication safety initiatives across Alice Springs Hospital and Tennant Creek Hospital, supporting medication-related clinical governance, accreditation readiness, incident review, quality improvement and the safe and effective use of medicines across the service.

You will have the opportunity to lead meaningful initiatives, influence systems and practice, and work across professional and organisational boundaries to improve patient safety.

Importantly, you won't be starting from scratch. A comprehensive handover from the current incumbent will be provided, together with ongoing support from the Director of Pharmacy and senior pharmacist team.
